Roeburn river's autumn floods were so high they lifted the bridge up and out of it's anchor points |
and smashed it in one piece against the other side of the bank. |
This spring new cemented posts were put in with Adam's help |
The bracing for the stiles were put on next |
The restraining wires were unwound and wrapped around the posts |
and put through the drilled holes of the stile |
Next comes the "walls"--sheep fencing-- |
Rod stapling the fencing |
The first fence is now fastened |
Second fence ready to be lifted up onto the stile posts |
Stapling the boards onto the wires.... |
means hammering upside down.. |
The gap closes |
The finished product |
